For the Entrepreneur Wife: How to Build Your Personal Brand

I am a wife. I am also an entrepreneur, building my businesses. I once had a thought: Can I be a wife and still build my own personal brand? After discussing this with my husband, the answer was simple—yes. I can be both a phenomenal wife and an awesome entrepreneur.

Although my role as his other half is of utmost importance, I am supporting our lives by being my best self. I stay in communication with my husband so he is a part of my growth. He may not know all the details of the business, but he can still be part of it by joining me on my development as an entrepreneur. There are no conflicts or issues with me having my own brand.

As I build my personal brand, I am learning that there are four major areas that help shape who I am in relationship to my business. I want to share those with you.

How to Define Your Personal Brand

Discover Your Area of Focus

Highlight what you are passionate about. This can be simple—you get to be yourself. There are people who are looking for exactly what you are passionate about.

Network

Get to know people within your area of focus. When starting out, it is essential to stay connected. Practice sharing your passion out loud—it builds confidence and community.

Define Your Tone

Think about how you want others to connect with you. Are you more of a friend-like guide or the go-to person for tips? Your tone shapes your social personality. Everyone is different—your tone will make your brand unique

Share

Create a space to express your passion, whether through a website, a social platform, or something else. Maybe you enjoy recording videos, or perhaps you love to write. Whatever it is, create a place where others can follow along and stay connected.

You can have a personal brand and still be an amazing wife. The goal is understanding your role. As a wife, you have responsibilities. As an entrepreneur, you have responsibilities. Being a wife will always take precedence, but your brand is not in competition with your marriage. Your brand complements who you are, and you complement your husband. Everyone wins.

So, go ahead and be that amazing entrepreneur wife you were created to be.
