Happy Valentine’s Day – God Loves You

I am excited about Valentine’s Day. At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus. At Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. For Valentine’s Day, I have decided that I will celebrate the blood of Jesus.

It is the blood of Jesus that gives us strength every day. It is His blood that has put us in the right standing with God. It is His blood that comforts us. Where would we be without the blood! Where would we be if Jesus had not died for us! I will tell you. We would be on our way to hell, still in confusion, wallowing in sin, uncontrollable and the list continues. I am so thankful for the blood that never loses its power which continues to purify us.

Some may become sensitive to Valentine’s day which is understandable. Maybe they have not heard the phrase “I love you” from someone they needed to hear that phrase from (like a mom or dad). Or maybe they have heard the phrase but underneath was abuse. For this, my friend, I am sorry that you had to experience pain from a relationship. But there is an “I love you” that will always be true and kind. It is from God. God says to you “I love you”.

This is not a prophetic statement or a word of knowledge. It is who God is at His core. He is love and everything He does is because of His love for you. He loves you with an everlasting love. He sits in the heavens and thinks about how He can bless you. Psalm 139:17-18 assures us that His thoughts towards us are so precious and impossible to count. God loves you, my friend.
