Give Your Husband Full Access to Your Life
Discover the Power of True Partnership Through Unrestricted Access to Your Life
You give your husband full access to your life. I’m not only talking about access to your body, your finances, or your mental state. I’m referring to giving him full access and all rights with full permission to your life.
Marriage Settings
My husband and I were looking at a program recently. With this program, you can set different levels of access. The more access you have, the more you can do, and the more productive you can be. You can even help more people. But, you can also choose limited access. This comes with limited functionality which you will get by with the bare minimum.
This made me think about whether I give my husband full access to my life. Not only the easy things, but also some of the more difficult aspects. This could mean giving him access to my past, which might not be how I wanted it to be. Sharing it could shed some light on how I respond to him or how I think. If only he knew my past.
Full Access
It also applies to access to my goals. Sometimes, we try to separate our goals from our husbands’ goals. So, we don’t share our schedule of what we are doing because it pertains only to our own aspirations. Or, we don’t need to give him access to our disappointments. We keep those to ourselves because we feel inadequate in our marriage. These disappointments could be on our end, where we are disappointed in ourselves. There could also be a disappointment in our husband. He may have said or did something that didn’t put you, as a wife, in the best light. But instead of saying something about it, you, as a wife, move on.
Performance Levels
Permission settings dictate what a person can perform. There are certain activities a person needs access to in order to do their job. So, when we limit what our husbands have access to, we are limiting how they can support us in our life. And this is major: we are also limiting how they contribute within the marriage. If you have become a one-unit marriage institution, that institution can only go so far. Productivity can be limited because of the permissions we have individually set on one another.
The limitation on what your husband has access to, or the permission settings, may be limited because you are not clear on his responsibility within the marriage. You husband’s responsibility and role play a key part in the permissions he will have. If his role in your life is that of a friend or a family member, you will limit his access. This is because you don’t see his role as a major factor in your life.
Access Granted
Remember this. There are three key players within the marriage institution. There is God. There is the husband. There is the wife. The husband should have as much access as God does to your life. When you give your husband full access to your life, you are putting everything else aside. This includes yourself. The fantastic news is that when he sees you giving him full access, he opens us more to you to give you more than can hold.
I pray this has opened your eyes and allows you to release a little more to your husband. May your marriage be blessed and be enriched.
