Have we lost our fervor for the Holy Spirit? I would say yes.
We are in the age of readily available information. Although information is available, it may not be the best information for us. For instance, if we prayed that a headache would go away and it did, then we would not need to search for an organic headache cure. That research time could be used for studying God’s Word or other tasks for the Kingdom. We rely a lot on what we can see instead on the One who knows. If we depend on the Holy Spirit more, we can see great things happen to us, in us, through us and around us because we are no longer depending on the limited knowledge of the internet but on the One who knows all.
I am constantly asking to be used by the Holy Spirit. Recently, I felt in my spirit to not go to an afternoon activity. Nothing bad, just don’t spend time that afternoon in that place. Instead, I was led to pray with individuals. Those who received prayer saw turnarounds in their lives within days. This was great for me to see how the Holy Spirit led me and I obeyed and I was able to witness the miraculous in their lives which I would have missed if I had stayed to my plan. I am a witness that the Holy Spirit can guide you to your better and greatest potential. No internet required.
